The company, which is headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, currently operates a fleet of nine DC10-30s and four B757-200s in worldwide passenger charter service for Commercial and Government Customers. Omni has demonstrated twelve years of sustained, profitable growth since it was founded in 1993. Omni operates passenger charter segments that can be efficiently served with long range aircraft. The company's customers include Leisure Wholesale operators, that provide vacation packages to the Caribbean, Florida, Las Vegas, Mexico, Hawaii, Europe, and Asia; cruise lines that transport customers to sailing ports in Europe, South America and the South Pacific; and Department of Defense and Government transport worldwide. Omni Air International operates ACMI Wet Lease programs for Airlines Worldwide with both the DC10-30 and B757-200 Fleet types. Omni provides Aircraft, crew, Maintenance, and Insurance while providing a seamless product for the airline's customer. Omni began operation as a U.S. Part 135 operator in 1983. In 1993, Omni became a Part 121 air carrier operating B727F equipment in the narrow body cargo market. Customers included many of the industry's largest integrated shipping companies such as BAX Global, DHL, Emery Worldwide and UPS. The company soon earned a reputation for operational excellence and consistent profitability. Building on success in cargo operations, in 1997 Omni entered the passenger charter market with DC10-10s. The next step in Omni's development came during 1998-2000 when the company acquired three long range DC10-30s from Lufthansa/Condor and began providing international charter service to Wholesale Companies, Cruise Lines, and the Department of Defense. During the 1999-2005 period Omni has operated charters worldwide. The Year 2003 saw the addition of the B757-200 passenger aircraft. The B757-200 fleet is approved for extended range over water operations. With the addition of these aircraft to its fleet, Omni was awarded 180 - minute ETOPS approval by the FAA. This is only the second time in history of U.S. Aviation that this type if immediate ETOPS approval has been granted. Omni operates a fleet of four B757-200 aircraft.
