This is a set of two 1:1000 scale die-cast model airplanes of the C-130 Hercules cargo aircraft known as the "Fat Albert" in the colors of the Blue Angels and the USAF. This is the airplane that all the Blue Angels gear travels on between acrobatic shows. Herpa Wings designs their aircraft models in great detail at their design center in Germany. This is one of the most popular airplane model lines in the world and we are proud to carry the entire line including many rare and hard to find aircraft. Herpa Wings goes to great lengths to ensure an accurate miniature model of the real airplane and the results are impressive at such a great price. “Fat Albert”, as the TC-130G with military registration 151891 is called, is operated as the logistical support airplane for the US Marines’ famous stunt flying squadron, the “Blue Angels”. “Fat Albert” is structurally equipped to allow the attachment of booster rockets. So equipped, it takes off like a fighter jet, which time and again thrills air show audiences. In a two-piece-set, Herpa will release the blue “Fat Albert” of the US Marines’ together with the gray C-130 from the Air Force in the 1/1000 scale. These models are small at 1:1000 scale, which is between 1 and 2 inches long for these planes. This airplane model is brand new and in the original box.
